Live Simply

Becky Conley

To brighten my mood on a chilly afternoon, I created this canvas artwork. I first painted the canvas, blending both green and yellow. The title is printed onto mulberry paper, then moistened around the edges and torn. I use the Xyron to adhere it to the canvas, then stippled the background with both yellow and green paint to help soften edges of the paper. The branches are hand painted and random. Next I attached the flowers, the colorful centers, and the charm. I pounced alcohol ink onto the metal butterfly, let dry and attached it with glue. The title is highlighted with a very small amount of stickles.
