Choir Family

Christy Monge

I used a lot of new techniques in Photoshop Elements with this layout. The white scalloped paper was cutout using the cookie cutter tool-I used two different cutouts to create the rounded corners and the scalloped edge. For the butterfly, I used the outline in the Duetica Bonus Spring / Summer kit, the eyedropper tool to pick colors from the pictures, then colored it in with the paint bucket. Using the bevel effect gives it a 3D effect. I did tear up a bit when I did this layout. Choir was such a special time for my daughter. I can only hope that she has the same special moments in college.

Aunt Jackie’s Pool

Jaclyn Keys

This digital page was also created as part of an album I am putting together for my sister. Her and her family love to come over swimming in Aunt Jackie’s Pool all summer long! For this digital layout, I used the bonus Spring / Summer time digital kit that comes with the Duetica DT Floot font. I love this kit. It has all kinds of fun papers and embellishments. I used the torn paper edge embellishment with the tan paper to create the effect of the surf washing up on a sandy beach. The DT Floot font has a fun feature where you can add blobs of color behind the letters. I used splashes of yellow to say “fun in the sun.” Duetica fonts are definitely not your run of the mill fonts. They are awesome!

Bedtime PJs

Niki Meiners

Both of my children love to read books before bed time.  Good Night Moon was my sons favorite.  My 2 year old daughters favorite is Pajama Time.  In the morning last week she did not want to get dressed.  She kept running around giggling jamma, jamma, jamma, jamma pj.  This is one of the lines that repeat throughout the book.  I took this to mean that she wanted a pajama day.  Naturally, as a good mommy I indulged in this treat and it was quite nice for a change. For the page I chose the DT Piper font for its pixie-like whimsy, and set the background using the bonus Spring / Summertime digital kit that comes with the Duetica DT Floot font.

Make Your Mark

Lori Servies

I created this glittery card for a young lady who is graduating from high school. I selected a cardstock with a simple cross-hatched pattern to layer onto the card base. How could you go wrong with all that pink! I then used a silver-glitter paper and a ribbon with specks of glitter to complement the patterned paper. There are many appropriate quotes and sentiments for graduation so I had a lot from which to choose. I ultimately used “Make your Mark” because it captured the idea of attaining one’s goals. Graduating from high school certainly is the completion of a major life goal. I used the Duetica DT Mandolyn font because it is elegant and also captured the beauty of the young lady for which the card was made.

SUPPLIES:
Cardstock:  Bazill Basics Paper “Pinktini”, Recollections Glitter Cardstock in Pink and Silver
Ribbon:  Offray “Kendra” in white/opal
Spellbinders Nestablilites:  Labels Ten and Fleur De Lis Rectangles
Rub-on:  BoBunny “Corsage” Butterfly

Birthday Invitation

Ann Butler

The Duetica Lettering System is the perfect solution for invitations, card making, announcements and so much more….. My grandson’s birthday is coming up and we wanted to make the cards and the Duetica Lettering System makes it easy and fun! With the Duetica DT Saxi font’s added ability to add color behind the letters you can create one of a kind original word art. I like how this turned out using the green behind the letters and then coordinating the green and black in the announcement by layering green and black cardstock onto white card stock with the photo…. quick and easy! This would look really amazing using several colors as well, something to try on another project in the very near future!

Life’s Simple Pleasures

Keri Lee Sereika

There’s nothing more wonderful to me than seeing my sweet children loved and adored by their Daddy. Lily Kate just loves her daddy and I thought this photo really captures their mutual adoration of one another. I used the bonus Spring/Summer digital kit that comes with the Duetica DT Floot font. I also added the Duetica DT Tin Whistle font for the sentiment on this layout. It’s a fun whimsical font that just has fun details strung throughout the various choices within the font family.

Last Dance

Christy Monge

It is hard to believe that my daughter is graduating from high school and moving on to the next chapter in her life. I wanted to capture every moment of this most important year. Presently when you purchase the Duetica DT Floot font, you receive as a bonus a wonderful Spring / Summertime Digital Kit. This kit gave me some new inspiration with Photoshop elements. I used the outline drop shadow for the pictures and the main title and loved the results. Make sure you play with the distance settings! The soft romantic pattern and colors were perfect to capture the mood of my daughter’s final formal dance of her high school years!

Sweet Summer Strawberries

Jaclyn Keys

I created this digital scrapbook page as part as an album I am putting together for my sister. It features my niece Taylor, as she enjoys her new favorite summer activity: picking fresh strawberries from a local farm. She loves them so much she eats them straight from the bush while picking them! Luckily, the farmers don’t mind. I set this page on a variety of digital papers from JC Sweetpea Designs, and added my summertime sentiment using the Duetica DT Piper font. I just love all the different letter styles there are to choose from, and how they make my page title come alive.

Delightful Derby Day

Niki Meiners

This year for Derby Day, we did not get to attend our normal Derby Day Festivities. It was the same day as my husband’s company picnic. This year’s shindig was extra special because they gave a plant tour. Something the company has never done before. Since we could not miss the company picnic, I decided to celebrate both events at the same time. While we missed having Mint Juleps, we did have a fantastic time celebrating none the less. For this digital layout, I used the Bonus Digital Spring / Summertime kit that comes with the Duetica DT Floot font. The colored papers match perfectly with my Derby Day dress. I set “Delightful Derby Day” in Duetica’s DT Woodwynds font, which is so much fun to use because the vines and leaves just grow and blossom as you play with it.
