Daddy & Me

Becky Conley

A perfect Father’s Day gift. This scrapbook page has a darling photo of my son and my granddaughter. The title was created using the Duetica Lettering Arts Studio online app and the Duetica DT Saxi font. The title is printed directly onto the background paper, which requires just a bit of pre-planning for the entire layout. I added lots of layers of patterned paper (Jeanine DeOre Digital Designs) accented with fine art glitter, chipboard swirls with stickles, chipboard frame and fabric flowers. All to say that Ryan is my son’s favorite Father’s Day flower.

SUPPLIES:
Patterned paper Jeanine DeOre
Art glitter
Chipboard swirls and frames
Fabric flowers

Savings Bank

Kristie Taylor

Nowadays, everyone needs to save a little, and this fun project saves for the future and recycles at the same time. You start your savings by recycling an old coffee can (cheaper than buying your coffee at a coffee house). You decorate the can with paper, embellishments and title it using Duetica fonts. I used the DT Piper font for the SAVE$$SAVE$$SAVE$$.  I really like the way you can get different looks with the fonts. As you can see the words are at different levels, so it adds to the energy and fun. Also fun and encouraging for savers is the satisfying “clang” when saved coins hit the metal bottom of the coffee can.

SUPPLIES:
Coffee can,
white parchment paper from the paper temptress,
multiple homemade spray inks.
twinkling H2Os by luminart, paintbrush,
verasmark ink,
black embossing powder by ranger,
Duetica DT Piper font

Strawberry Syrup

Niki Meiners

Strawberry Syrup

Each year I can my fruits for holiday gifts. This years Strawberry crop has been absolutely wonderful. Since the crop has been plentiful, an extra flavor was needed. Instead of my traditional preserves I added what I am calling Super Strawberry Syrup. I made two dozen and needed a quick fun label. The wording was printed on a sheet of pattern paper in Duetica Mandolyn font. Then to make the wording really POP, I traced the letters with Diamond Glaze. Punched out the scallop and snipped the edges to give it texture, and added a bit of pastel for dimension.

Lucky Me

Suzanne Sergi

Lucky Me

I love creating cards, especially after creating a page. Using the leftover papers, make the card design process easy. I do love mixing fonts on my paper crafts. Here I used a preprinted journaling spot, with the word lucky. I added just a bit more text using Duetica’s whimsical DT Riley font. I love being able to twist, and turn my letters! It really adds life to “me.” A few punched stars, and a stick pin are the finishing details.

Bridget’s Jewelry Box

Niki Meiners

What once was a boring cigar box has now become a fun spring colored girls jewelry box.  Creating a personalized gift for a loved one does not have to cost a fortune.  When I spotted this cigar box I immediately thought it was the perfect size for a jewelry organizer. The recipient of this box is super girly and loves this fun whimsical color combination.

Paint cigar box and balls with Lumiere and let dry.  Reapply if needed and let dry.  Adhere balls on four corners as shown.  Adhere ribbon around box.  Make inserts and cover with cardstock.  I chose the Duetica Piper  for its whimsical appeal.  Print the Duetica Font in this case, the Duetica Piper font and die cut.

Beautiful Smile

Kristy Taylor

Although my daughter hates this photo, it is one of my favorites, because it shows a true unguarded smile, the real deal, and I wanted to bring attention to it because she doesn’t think she is pretty with out makeup.

The background paper was sprayed with homemade ink mists, then the edges were distressed and inked with vintage photo distress ink. The glimmer card stock (from paper temptress) was embossed with the Cuttlebug machine.the “speckled” paper  was glossy card stock which was inked with alcohol ink, this was then used for  accents and to make the flowers. The title was printed on plain white card stock and then matted with more of the gold glossy. I used the Duetica Design Studio because I wanted a hand lettered look, and as you can see the end result is lovely, just like my daughter.

SUPPLIES

  • Duetica Mandolyn fonts
  • Papertemptress.com paper

My Oma

Rebecca Lynn

One of the things I love about working with Duetica fonts is that they are so versatile! Its not hard to use them for my journaling, titles, or little other text bits on any project! This layout I created from my Oma (Grandma) just came together so perfectly. I ripped out come pages from an old dictionary I have, and combined it with Basic Grey Paper and accented it with Pebbles ribbon. I’ve had this paper sitting around for a long time, it worked perfectly for the background and the pinwheels! The pinwheels are so easy to make, and I love the look.

I created the title in Duetica, then brought it into Photoshop. I love that I can change and manipulate the letters in Duetica, without worrying about creating several different layers in Photoshop. I also love the fonts!

I did this page for a recent show. I love the look. The Duetica Tin Whistle font adds the perfect punch. This was a digital project using Adobe software to combine all the elements.
